Members of Red Friars come from Ames and other communities within a 50 mile radius and from all walks of life. To a one, they all share a common love; the joy of dancing. Currently there are about 100 member couples.

Membership in Red Friars offers you the opportunity to enjoy varied ballroom dancing in a congenial, upscale atmosphere.

Membership includes:
• Enjoyment of full-size live dance bands,
• Lessons before each dance,
• Half a dozen dances each season—October through May. Select the "Schedule " button at left for dates of this year's dances,
• A Cash Bar,
• Of course a fine wooden floor within the Memorial Union,
• Access to convenient parking in the Union Parking Ramp on Lincoln Way.

New members are always welcome. Bylaws of the Club require an invitation from an existing member, which can easily be arranged on request. Then, fill out the Application Form. Single persons may join but must attend with a partner.

Membership dues are $125 per couple for the full season. Dues are prorated through the dance season, based upon the number of remaining dances. If you have questions, please contact the Club's Treasurer.

A non-member couple may attend a dance as the guests of an existing member. Should they wish to again attend as non-members, admission is $30 for each dance event.
